About

I want to explore the planet as a curious observer, open doors to new worlds, and make different perspectives heard. My goal is to inspire people and to be inspired by them. With creativity and passion, I work on audiovisual content and texts that truly stick.

Hi, I’m Bastian. Born in Aachen, Germany, in 1993, I’ve been working as a journalist for different news outlets for more than ten years. Having reported from various European countries, the Middle East, and South America, I focus on the issues that matter the most to me, including global politics and security, social inequality and cohesion. My work has been published by Germany’s largest public broadcaster WDR, Deutschlandfunk, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and others.

With several years of work experience in broadcast journalism and digital communications, I also help non-profit organizations to take their social media, audio and video strategies to a new level. On behalf of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and other clients, I give workshops for students and young journalists on a variety of topics. Volunteering for the NGO GermanDream, I regularly engage in dialogue with school children across Germany on core principles of the German Basic Law, such as equality, the rule of law, and freedom of expression.
